I don’t know if the record is beatable: Lionel Messi after winning seventh Ballon d’or award

PSG striker Lionel Messi made history by winning his seventh Ballon d’Or on Monday. Messi scored 41 goals in 54 games within the time it took to vote. Amulets also led Argentina to the Copa America victory, scoring four tournament goals and becoming the top scorer in Luis Diaz, Colombia. After winning four prestigious awards seven times, Messi believes it will be difficult for other players to break his record.

Messi’s longtime rival Cristiano Ronaldo has won five Ballon d’Or awards. In fact, Messi and Ronaldo have together won 12 of the last 13 awards. Luka Modric had already won this award in 2018.
Messi told the media: I have to accept it, but I’m not sure if I can beat it.

On the contrary, French football editor Pascal Ferre recently argued that Ronaldo’s only ambition was to win more Ballon d’Or than Lionel Messi. However, Manchester United strikers have abandoned such a statement in his Instagram post. Cristiano Ronaldo posted on Instagram.

“Pascal Ferret lied and used my name to promote himself and the publications he worked for. The person responsible for awarding such a prestigious award thus lied and French football. It is unacceptable to look down on someone who has always respected Ballon d’Or. To the quarantine of allegations that there is no reason to exist. I have always won, coupled with the movement and fair play that have supported my career from the beginning. Congratulations to everyone. I do so because I do not oppose anyone. I always win for myself and the club I represent. I win for myself and those who love me. I can’t beat anyone.

Lionel Messi, who won his seventh Ballon d’Or, is not well accepted by many football professionals. Many former players and current managers believe that Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski or Chelsea midfielder Giorginho is more award-winning than Argentina.
