Liverpool and Arsenal target Jonathan David’s transfer “priority” emerges

Jonathan David’s agent confirmed that the player would leave Lille at the end of the season.
The acclaimed 22-year-old forward is reportedly in the spotlight of several clubs across Europe, including the Premier League Liverpool and Arsenal. Since joining Lille from the Belgian club Ghent in the summer of 2020,
David has scored 25 league goals and contributed to the League 1 title last season.
He has also played 24 senior national teams in Canada since his international debut in September 2018.

David still has a three and a half year contract in Lille, but agent Nick Mablo Maras doesn’t expect him to be in the club at this time next year. According to Spanish outlet Marca, the real flop Eden Hazard, which appeared on Lille 10 years ago, could be part of David’s swap deal.

When asked about David’s price tag, Mablo Maras said, “I don’t know the price today. It has something to do with Lille.
” But in the end it’s football. Jonathan wouldn’t say that, but he knows he’s one of the best young strikers in the world.
“There is also Erling Haaland, which currently costs between € 75 million and € 100 million. We have offered up to € 150 million. If you want to be on this list, you need to learn to deal with the pressure.”

David declined the chance to play in the Premier League 18 months ago and chose Lille instead. “Everyone knows that the Premier League is a quality league,” David told France Bluenode earlier. “But my choice was made primarily because I wanted to make sure I was playing.”

David, who commented on Lille as a club, said:
“It really encouraged me to go to Lille. My main goal was to go to a club where I knew I would keep playing and get better. They are very good here I have a very good team with the players.
